A pile of stacked tiles, each with a bit of New Hampshire on it: moose, loons, lighthouses, sap buckets, cider donuts. Tap a tile that isn't covered to move it to the tray. Three of a kind clear. Empty the pile before the tray's seven slots fill up. There's a new level every day, the same for everyone, and a trail of 150 levels that start easy and grow taller.

Tap a bright tile to move it to the tray. Dim tiles are covered by a tile above them and open up once it's gone. Matching tiles line up together in the tray, and three of a kind clear. Undo, Shuffle and Return 3 sit under the tray when you get stuck.
- The pile
- Tiles are stacked in layers, each layer offset by half a tile. You can take any tile that has nothing on top of it. Every level can be cleared, and each kind of tile comes in threes.
- The tray
- The tray holds seven tiles. Three of the same kind clear right away. If the seventh tile doesn't make a match, the tray is full and the level is over. You can retry it, or send three tiles back and keep going.
- Tools
- Undo takes back your last move. Shuffle deals the pile's pictures out again. Return 3 sends the first three tray tiles to a row above the tray, where you can take them later. Each tool is free once per level; after that each use takes a hint.
- Today and the trail
- Everyone gets the same Today level on the same New Hampshire date. The trail has 150 numbered levels with more tiles, more kinds and taller stacks as you go. Clearing a level opens the next. Your progress stays on your device.

Is Tile Trails free?
Yes. Tile Trails is free to play in your browser, with no account and nothing to download.
When does the daily level change?
A new Today level starts at midnight New Hampshire time (Eastern time), and everyone gets the same one on the same date. If you have the page open at midnight, reload it to get the new one. Past daily levels aren't kept, and the trail's 150 levels are always there.
Can every level be cleared?
Yes. Every level can be cleared, and each kind of tile comes in threes. The level ends if the tray's seventh tile doesn't make a match, and then you can retry it or send three tiles back and keep going.
How do Undo, Shuffle and Return 3 work?
Each one is free once per level. After that, each use takes a hint. If you see a hint count, each puzzle comes with three hints, and a short ad adds three more when they run out. If there's no ad to show, you get the hint anyway.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Tap a bright tile to move it to the tray. Dim tiles are covered and open up once the tile above them is gone. Your progress is saved in this browser on this device. There are no accounts, so it doesn't follow you to another device, and clearing the browser's data for the site erases it.
