Trailhead Words
Swipe through the letters on the wheel to spell words and fill the grid above it. Each of the 140 levels is a stop on a New Hampshire trail or road, from the Kancamagus Highway and the Lakes Region to the Appalachian Trail and all 48 of the 4,000-footers. There's also a new level each day, the same for everyone. Your progress stays on your device.

How to play
Put a finger on a letter and slide through the others to spell a word, then lift to try it. Slide back to the letter before to take one back. With a mouse, press, drag and release the same way. Shuffle moves the letters around the wheel, which can help you see a new word.
- The grid
- Each line of tiles in the grid is a word you can spell from the wheel, using each letter once. Words have at least three letters. Find them all to finish the level.
- Bonus words
- A real word that isn't in the grid counts as a bonus word. The count for each level and for the whole journey is under the grid, and you can open the list of the ones you've found.
- Hints
- A hint shows one letter in the grid, in the word closest to done. Letters from hints show a green corner. A word whose letters are all showing counts as found.
- The journey
- The levels follow thirteen trails and roads, about ten stops each, and get harder as you go: more letters on the wheel, more words in the grid. Finishing a level opens the next, and any level you've reached can be played again from All levels.
- Today
- Today's level is the same for everyone on the same day in New Hampshire, and a new one starts at midnight Eastern time.
